ASK OUR EXPERT

What insider tips can you offer about cruising?

A cruise is certainly a vacation where you’ll always appreciate having a specialist in your corner. Not only will we help you select where you want to go — from Aruba to Antarctica — but we’ll also help you decide which cruise ship is right for you. Perhaps you prefer a larger vessel where you can try a different restaurant or show every night. Or maybe an intimate vessel with fewer than 50 guests is more your style. We’ll consider your travel style on land and help select the best cruise for you. From iconic cities to off-the-beaten-path harbors, we’re here to assist with every detail.

CREATIVE WAYS TO SAVE

You can access limited-time savings when you reserve early on select cruises or find special deals specifically for solo cruisers. Consider traveling outside of the peak season by taking a cruise during the “shoulder season.” For example, Alaska voyages departing in mid-May and late September can be a great way to save, not to mention lighter crowds. Our insider knowledge of special pricing and amenities are just the beginning. Reserve with us for more valuable enhancements such as shipboard credit and upgrades on select voyages.

AVOIDING THE CROWDS

Early morning hours on embarkation day can be chaotic so we recommend simply boarding later in the day, at least 90 minutes before departure. We’ll let you know which cruise lines and ports make this possible, and we’ll reserve your hotel stay with late check-out, whenever available, and arrange swift transportation. We’ll also secure your spot on popular shore excursions. Ask us about arranging a private car and driver experience in select ports, ensuring that you hit all the high
points and return to your ship in
plenty of time to board.

SPECIAL EXPERIENCES
JUST FOR YOU

On ships both large and small, we can harness our time-honored connections to create unique experiences you may not have known existed: an in-suite birthday party, a hosted cocktail reception, a private shore excursion,
a renewal of your wedding vows followed by a romantic dinner. Celebrating with a group of friends or family? We can provide you additional discounts and special amenities on board. No matter what the occasion, we’re here to find you the best value, create unforgettable experiences and make every day of your cruise something special.

Ask us how you can save big when you reserve a future cruise while you’re still on board. Or if you have questions about cruises and cruising in general, come to our 2nd Annual Cruise Night. Click here for more info.

Cruises

A New Generation of Modern River Cruising

Launching in 2018, U by Uniworld redefines river cruising for travelers ages 21 to 45. These action-packed, culturally immersive voyages deliver you into the heart of each destination. Instagram your way through Parisian street art, followed by a night at Moulin Rouge. Austria’s charms extend from classical music in Vienna to a vintner’s dinner in Dürnstein. Indulge in fine living aboard your chic ship surrounded by like-minded adventurers.

Cruising for Connoisseurs

On select voyages, we’ll grant you even more access into the world of Bordeaux wine. Sips of fine cognac will linger on your palate at a tasting within the Rémy Martin Estate, while a special onboard event pairs France’s high-end Valrhona chocolate with wines. Raise a sunset toast on L’Île Patiras, an island in the Gironde estuary, and spend a memorable day at La Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, a high-tech, interactive museum celebrating wine cultures around the globe. Architecturally renowned for its sleek, gleaming curves, the exterior of La Cité du Vin is reminiscent of the flowing Garonne and the swirl of a wine glass. Inside cavernous spaces, dedicated and burgeoning oenophiles alike are invited to deepen their knowledge through tastings, dining, multimedia presentations and 360-degree views of Bordeaux under a “chandelier” of thousands of wine bottles hanging from the ceiling.

Celebrate the Reformation in the Heart of Germany

Nestled in the heart of Germany, nearly halfway between Berlin and Frankfurt and just north of Bavaria, the state of Thuringia is renowned for its outstanding cultural heritage and historical figures. Numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites reveal its storied past, like the ancient Wartburg Castle where composer Wagner found inspiration for his opera “Tannhäuser” and Martin Luther translated the Bible into German.

As 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, Luther-Cities throughout Thuringia such as Erfurt and Eisenach will host a series of events to honor Luther’s life and legacy.

In 2019, the city of Weimar will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus movement, founded by architect Walter Gropius. Other famous names to grace this artistic hub include writers such as Goethe and Schiller, composers Liszt and Bach and painter Lyonel Feininger.
